New United States Law to require Marriage brokers
I am sure you have seen this already but I thought I would send it to you just in case. The United States passed a law in December to require Marriage brokers to give prospective ladies background information on gentlemen prior to introduction. I do not think that they can enforce this on a foreign agency but it appears that in the consular interview for the lady to receive a visa she must acknowledge that she has received this information. There is more information on this at : http://usaimmigrationattorney.com/nucleus/index.php?itemid=2#more
I think question number 5 in the faq talks most about this.
At this point I believe this law goes into effect in early March. This does not look to be a favorable law because of the extra legwork an agency will have to do and it does not seem to be very romantic to present a lady with a fact sheet on the gentleman prior to her approval to receive his first letter.
This law is designed to protect immigrant spouses from men with a history of abuse or sex trafficking which nobody will argue is very important. The timing and the methods may very well be a problem for everyone. Perhaps as a foreign agency you will have the advantage of not being under jurisdiction of this law and that the gentleman may disclose the required information in his own timing so the lady will have received all of it prior to consular interview. Another positive point of this law is that INS is to make a website offender list available so clients can be screened for dangerous criminal history.
I hope things are going well for you and your holiday s went well. And I wish all of the best for you Nadejda.
Everything is going well between Natalia and I. I visited her in Dnepropetrovsk Ukraine the end of September. It was wonder full. Now I am waiting for the mail to bring me some signed documents and the letter of intent from her so I can apply for the fiance visa.
Best Regards
Chalmer - New United States Law to require Marriage brokers

Hello Chalmer Thank you very much for letter both your care and information. I am sincerely grateful. Yes, I already know about the new law. This seriously for us. I do not know, how there will be a business. But more I worry about our girls. The fiancee-visa - sole visa, with which girl can arrive in USA today. But if and for the fiancee-visa will be serious problems with the new law, it will be very sad. I think, it only will increase quantity&nbs p; of illegal entrances from Russia those people who wants to marry. Yours faithfully Nadejda

Hello Nadejda: It is good to hear from you again. Do not become discouraged you have a good heart and you help many people. This law will make operation more difficult and expensive but it will not stop it. Of course it will add an extra burden to the ladies during the consular interview, which I am sure is already difficult enough, but their love will conquer this. And watch your partners like Anastasia.
They receive enough revenue from this business that they will figure it out. They are based in the United States so they have no choice but to deal with it. When the big guys figure it out, follow their lead. Our government will add more questions to be answered and more papers to file and many more pages of rules to read and it may be difficult but it will be straight forward and when all of this is done the ladies will still come. Nadejda I wish you all of the moral suppo rt and encouragement I have.
with best regards Chalmer
